100 days after Hurricane Ian,

the way back to paradise is progressing faster than expected. There are hardly any signs of this terrible hurricane, except of course in the exposed places like Fort Myers Beach or Pine Island. The high season is in full swing and winter visitors can once again enjoy the amenities and diversity of Southwest Florida.

The Historic District of Fort Myers is more beautiful than ever and the bridge to Sanibel and Captiva has been open to tourists again since January 2023.

The hotels and restaurants have removed all traces and shine in renovated splendor. For the badly affected areas, too, one is very confident that they will become a center of attraction again as soon as possible.

The mayor of Fort Myers Beach promised that a functioning paradise would be available again by Thanksgiving 2023. The area in southern Cape Coral around the yacht club, pier and boathouse will also be redesigned. The Boathouse will remain open during the redesign. The government considering in to enlarge the beach area as part of the redesign.

The commitment of the people and the unbroken will to create paradise  new and better is very touching.

Stay true to the region, come and enjoy the new and old delights of this unique area. We look forward to seeing you!!

Kind regards

Gabi & Markus Jansen
